  • DEADLINE APPROACHING: UCAS students have until MAY 4TH to make their choices

    Final decision deadline is approaching

    For Year 13 students who have applied to University the deadline to make your final firm and insurance choice is approaching.

    ALL students must have chosen their firm and insurance choice by 4th May. If you have chosen by then, UCAS will automatically decline all of your offers.

    If you are finding it hard to make a decision, please see Mr Edwards or Mr Wood and we will go through the options with you.

  • Year 12 Reports go home today

    Including offer letter and attendance statistics

    All year 12 students have had their second report of the year given to them today. The report includes the level they are currently working at (CAL) and the grade that teachers predict they will achieve in their exams this year.

    In addition to the report, each student has received their offer letter for continuing to year 13 and details of their attendance.

  • Post 16 Mock Exams

    Thursday 20th April - Friday 28th April

    All year 12 and 13 students will be sitting Mock exams over the period of Thursday 20th April- Friday 28th April.They have already had their exam timetables. There are 25 mock exams going on throughout this period as we aim to get our students ready for their finals just a few weeks later

    Major Technology company ATOS visited year 12 and 13 students at NUAST today to advertise their excellent apprenticeship opportunities to our scientists, Engineers and computer scientists

  • University of Nottingham History students teach at NUAST

    UoN History undergraduates teach revision session

    Undergraduate History students of Dr David Gehring at the University of Nottingham came in to NUAST today to teach a revision session to A-level History students. The session covered the Reformation, the role of England in the wider context of Europe and themes around world exploration in the 16th Century.

    This is one of several exciting links developing between the History department of UoN and NUAST

  • NUAST student becomes first at school to secure Higher Apprenticeship with Rolls

    Fantastic achievement for Jack

    Jack Hall, a Year 13 student at NUAST, has been chosen by prestigious, global company, Rolls-Royce to enrol onto their Higher Apprenticeship in Engineering this September.

    Following a rigorous selection process, Jack was chosen as one of only 30 successful students out of 33,000 people that had applied. In order to be considered for a place applicants had to fill out an online application form and complete a competency test only then were the successful candidates invited in for a full day’s interview once their CV had been scrutinised.

  • Sumobots coming to NUAST!

    For the second year running, The University of Nottingham will be coming to NUAST with their Sumobot

    A group of students will be learning how to build and programme the bot to follow a particular path and eventually go into competition against other schools in May. Last year NUAST students were successful at winning the competition, so a repeat performance is expected!

    A list of students will be drawn up over the next week, and students will be notified if they are to participate by Ms Byrne

    Session 1 – building the sumovore robot, Thursday 16th March, 2pm at NUAST

    Session 2 – programming the sumovore robot, Thursday 23rd March, 2pm at NUAST

  • NUAST students showcase their entrepeneurial talents

    NUAST students succesfully pitched their products 'Apprentice' style in the Market Square

    On Saturday 25th February 2017 the NUAST Young Enterprise team consisting of Beth Worthington, Mohammed Oukil, Aman Farooq and Adeel Razzaq had the exciting opportunity to showcase their entrepreneurial talents and trade at the Old Market Square, Nottingham alongside 16 other schools. A range of products was available from the Young Enterprise teams represented and the NUAST leavers hoodies attracted significant interest - a truly scalable and commercial product.   • VEX Robotics NUAST Team Win Regional Competition

    The NUAST Vex team have qualified for the National finals of Vex Robotics Competition

    The NUAST team claimed first place in the regional qualifying competition to claim their place at the UK finals of the 2017 competition. The finals will take place over three days and will be held at the Big Bang Fair at the NEC in Birmingham. Success at the National Finals could see the team travelling to Kentucy, USA to represent the UK.
