VEX Robotics NUAST Team Win Regional Competition
The NUAST team claimed first place in the regional qualifying competition to claim their place at the UK finals of the 2017 competition. The finals will take place over three days and will be held at the Big Bang Fair at the NEC in Birmingham. Success at the National Finals could see the team travelling to Kentucy, USA to represent the UK.
In the VEX Competitions teams of students are tasked with designing and building a robot to compete against other teams from around the world in a game-based engineering challenge. STEM concepts are put to the test on the playing field as students learn lifelong skills in teamwork, leadership, communications, and more. Tournaments are held year-round at the regional, state, and national levels; local champions go on to compete against the best in the world at VEX World Finals each April.
