In Year 12, the examination on Poetry by Carol Ann Duffy, Shakespeare’s Othello, and The Handmaid’s Tale by Margret Atwood
The examination in Year 13 focuses Text Recreations (creative writing and commentary), the Paris Anthology and revisiting the year 12 texts.
For the coursework component, you will be required to complete an independent critical study of two texts. One literary and one non-literary. This essay will be approximately 2,500 words and is worth 20% of the exam.

Our general entry requirements are that you will need a minimum of five Grade 6s in your GCSEs to study A-Levels.
One of those Grade 6s should be in English Language/Literature.
