NUAST Achieves Outstanding A Level Results for 2018
The headline figures show 54% of entries were graded at A*-A and 86% at A*-C, with a 100% pass rate. This means that the average A Level grade was a B and the provisional Value Added score was 0.48; in other words, on average students were almost half a grade above their targets. Our BTEC engineering results were even more outstanding with an average grade of Distinction*. Almost 80% of our University applicants were accepted into their first choice University and everyone has been placed, with two NUAST students going to Oxford for the first time. We are immensely proud of the achievements of our very special and hard working group of students, as well as the exceptional efforts of our A level teachers. These results are what our combined efforts have truly deserved.
