Yr 8 Pewter Casting CAD
Our Year 8s have been applying their knowledge and understanding they have learnt in Year 7 from the Light it up project to design their Pewter cast products, they are designing for someone else based on their client profile. They will then have their designs laser cut before the students then cast their products to then be meticulous worked on to polish them up before giving them to their client they have designed for over the next few weeks. Not only do our students at NUAST learn about the casting process, but they learn about the technical understanding of the materials they are using, where they come from and the sustainability implications of those materials to make them more considerate and sustainable engineers.
