NUAST Robotics Team Come 2nd At Regional Event
NUAST's VEX Robotics team placed 2nd at a regional VEX Robotics event at the weekend.
The team played against 20 other schools from around the region in the hope of gaining a place at the National Finals in March.
The event was hosted by The Cotswold School who provided an excellent day for all those involved.
Mr Wood, Head of Computing commented: "All of our teams worked really well at the weekend and have come back with lots of inspiration for next time. It was great to see them iterating their design as the day went on and working really well as a group."
The VEX Robotics Competition is an international robotics challenge that sees teams of students design, build and program robots to complete a timed task against other schools. This years challenge, Slapshot, asks teams to collect disc objects and slide them as far as possible to score points.
More information about the game can be found here: https://www.vexrobotics.com/iq/competition/viqc-current-game
Our next event is at King Henry VIII School in Coventry later in the month,
Congratulations to all those involved.
