Bebras Competition Success
Students today received their Gold Awards for the annual Bebras Computing Competition.
24 students achieved this top award, placing them in the top 10% in the country out of tens of thousands of others.
The Bebras Competition is an annual computational thinking challenge where students have to solve as many challenges in the time allowed. This year NUAST had over 400 students across all year groups take part.
Mr Wood, Head of Computing, commented: "Well done to so many of our students that qualified this year. It is great to see so many students taking part. Problem solving is an important skill for both programmers and many other careers so it is great to see such high scores across the school."
The successful students have been invited to the next stage which is the Oxford University Computing Challenge taking place in January 2023. We wish them the best of luck!
