CAS Hub Meeting | Robotics in education
NUAST this week hosted its first Computing At School Hub meeting on the theme of Robotics In Education.
Computing educators for around the city and much further afield attended this virtual session where the theme was how to embed robotics in to the curriculum and through enrichment.
Chris Calver, UK Education Manager from VEX Robotics attended as a guest speaker to discuss how their products can work alongside computing teaching.
Attendees shared their experiences of how they embed robotics at their schools and also asked questions of Chris and NUAST.
Mr Wood, Head of Computing said: "It was great to host our first CAS Hub meeting last night and to see so many teachers there from a range of schools around the city. We hope that those that came took away some inspiration for how to embed robotics at their schools and that some may even come along to our VEX events in January."
