Perse Coding Challenge Success

Last month students from Year 7 to 11 competed in the Perse Coding Team Challenge. This is an online programming challenge of over 7,500 UK participants where pairs of students try and solve problems together.

The results from Round 1 are in and there is much to celebrate.

Three of our pairings achieved a Distinction with two of them getting a perfect score. Another three pairs achieved a Merit with many more other worthy participants. Those students achieving a Distinction are invited to take part in Round 2. This round will be in threes and participants can choose who to invite as their third person, although there is a maximum of 2 Year 10/11 students in a trio. This will take place on Thursday 23rd March at 14:30 in 1.03.

Mr Wood, Head of Computing commented: "Well done to all of our teams that took part in the Perse Challenge this year. A special congratulations to those that have qualified for the second round. Programming is all about problem solving and students will be able to apply this to whatever careers they have in the future."
