NUAST’S FIRST YEAR 7 STUDENTS MAKE SCHOOL HISTORY

Over 120 students from primary schools all across Nottinghamshire and Nottingham City started with us in September and from the beginning have got stuck in with our STEM focussed lessons in Science, Engineering and Computing.

Students have been making robots that can detect light and sound in addition to enjoying the award-winning sports facilities at The University of Nottingham for their PE lessons.

Additionally, students have been taking lessons in Philosophy & Ethics, Spanish, English, Maths, History, Art and Geography.

In the coming weeks we will be visiting The University of Nottingham as an entire year group to experience higher education and get hands on with some of their unrivalled STEM equipment.

Daniel Wood, Head of Year 7 said: “We have really enjoyed having our first Year 7 group in school. They have shown so much enthusiasm for their lessons and we are looking forward to seeing what they can create in their Engineering and Computing lessons.”

Shortly we will be hosting our Year 7 Open Evening where prospective parents will be able to come and visit the school and speak our current students first hand.
