The Step up to A level from Higher GCSE is very manageable if you had mastered all of the content before your GCSE but you need to be ready for a fast paced, challenging start.

The purpose of giving you a summer bridging task is:

To provide a bridge from level 2 (GCSE) to level 3 (A-Level/BTEC) study, and lead into the early stages of the course.

To engage you in independent learning which is required at level 3.

To encourage you to develop your work ethic and commitment to study.

To measure your suitability for the course and assess your initial levels of achievement.

Task 1: Review your GCSE skills from the and topics ready for the A-Level from Flying Start to A-Level Maths. Focus on ensuring you have excellent algebra skills in order to be ready for the Further Maths aspects.
